The general conclusions that can be drawn based on the project activities are the following:

Creating and promoting dual careers for athletes is of critical importance not only for the sports industry, but also for work and society as a whole. Balance is the key to success in life. Athletes need to find the right balance between training efforts and learning, but also between entering the labor market and training, which is a constant challenge.

The study of national, European sports programs and dual career programs shows that governments and the sports industry are limited in providing assistance and support for high sports achievements and do not cover the lack of education of athletes, which is necessary for life after their careers.

It is clear that there is a grey area in the support efforts that operate from government, the sports sector, educational institutions, market forces and social structures.

Today, this ever-increasing sports competition, the search for super-high performance and the growing economic activity have dramatically increased the “life obligations” of elite athletes.

As a result, the balance between training and life is disrupted. One must seriously consider the fact that sport no longer seems to serve man, but man is used by sport as part of the global spectacle, the ultimate performance, technology, commercialization.
Ultimately, perhaps it is not worth just exploring the proposals for dual careers and their inclusion in the sports career of athletes. Perhaps now more than ever, it is imperative that the process of sport be further explored and then reworked, redefined and re-based on its true human nature and value, rather than the reality of the superman.
